Rose Shea Butter

It has helped the dry areas that I've been dealing with most of my life with extra dry skin all year round.

I LOVE this stuff!! I use it in my home made lotions. At first it feels a little gritty, but then melts right into your skin. I really don’t know what some of the other reviewers were complaining about regarding the smell. It doesn’t have the perfume smell of a lot of the chemical based products you can purchase at the drug store, but it doesn’t smell as bad as some have described. (And the smell doesn’t linger once the butter is rubbed in.)

I just received the shea butter a few days ago and was afraid I would not like the smell, based on some reviews. But I loved the smell! It smells like roasted nut, and it is not strong at all. I was planning to use plain shea butter on my skin, but it has a grainy texture that feels weird and doesn’t spread very well. I decided to mix it with coconut oil and lavender oil, and it was much easier to use, plus the mixture smelled so good! That mixture can be a little greasy, depending on the amount you use, but my heels are so dry that I didn’t mind, and it really helped soften my skin. I found several recipes online for homemade lotion using shea butter, coconut oil and essential oil, and I will definitely try making it myself. The quality of this Shea butter is excellent.

Works nice

I read some reviews that the product was gritty. This is very true but when you melt it between your palms it is a nice rich texture that keeps you moisturized all day. I’ve been using this product for about two-three weeks and my skin is soft supple and my hyperpigmentation is starting to fade. I am very happy with this product

I loved True Blue Spa's Shea Butter lotion but they discontinued it. I have struggled to find something for my rough feet. I don't know what took me so long to try pure Shea butter. This is wonderful. Its quite solid so needs warm up a bit (warms up nicely in your hands). It also has worked great on my hands. It soaks into your skin fairly fast. I put socks on afterwards for a while but then they can come off (I like to be barefoot) and my hands don't stay greasy for long either. I have added this to my auto ship because I think I'll go through it fast (especially with winter coming).

I have super dry skin in general but especially in the winter. I have never truly found a product that kept my skin moisturized. No lotion or body butter really ever kept my skin hydrated overnight or for long periods of time. I decided to try out pure shea butter and I have to say that this has worked out well for me. I first tried it out with a mixture of coconut oil but I didn't really like the oily texture that the coconut oil brought out. So I just decided to use the shea butter as is and that has worked out the best. It isn't too oily and it does have a small scent but either you have to get over it because it does disappear after a little while. I will continue to use shea butter.

Great Product!

Wow. This shea is so smooth and buttery, smells great, and soaks in nicely. It looks and smells fresh too which can be a gamble online! I've gotten maybe 5 products from this company in the last year and all of them have been wonderful quality and I am glad I can trust them..

I absolutely love this Shea butter. I use it on my one year old babies who have sensitive skin. Averno wasnt giving them the moisture I wanted them to have. This Shea butter leaves their skin feeling so soft all day. They used to get diaper rashes constantly but after I started using this no more. One had a wet rash under his neck that disappeared and never came back after I started using this Shea butter. Game changer for real. A little goes a long way. I would rather use this Shea butter over any of the prescribed creams I’ve gotten for my babies sensitive skin. Must buy! N

Like the handcream, I had been nervous about the amount of fragrance, but I found this to be warm and comforting rather than overwhelming. The lotion itself is a little thick but, I do think it could be a bit more moisturizing, It is a overall a very good body lotion.

I'm writing this quick review as I come to the end of my first container, bought in May. I use it every night, on my feet and hands before bedtime. Unlike any product I've ever used, this one is unusual. Once you scoop a small amount, you rub it in your hands to transform it from thick to spreadable in just a few seconds. The earthy scent will disappear as soon as it's spread and dries, which takes maybe 1-2 minutes. It seems like a greasy mess, but its not. It does not stain at all. Then, my feet and hands are super hydrated and happy. Ordered my second tub just now, this Shea butter is now a permanent fixture in my skin maintenance arsenal.

I have long and SUPER thick hair. I used to have to use a ton of conditioner in the shoer then a ton of detangled spray to be able to get a brush through it, then some coconut oil on the scalp, and argan oil for the frizz. This little wonder bar after a wash with the little wonder bar made by JR Liggett and a comb glides right through. NO more coconut oil, detangled spray, or argan oil. I am a believer and I can't express to you what a skeptic I was since I am not a hippie and this bar of soap in the hair thing still seems weird.

I recently just cut off all my hair because it was in such bad condition so I decided to start from scratch. After the chop I started cleaning my hair with nothing but water and the using the shea butter on my scalp and I must say its been doing amazing things for my hair! I'm noticing its growing back thicker and even has a curl that I didn't have before, going the organic route was the best decision ever.

This product is wonderful. I will start by saying i have severely dry skin. So dry most lotions are sucked in immediately leaving me feeling dry minutes later, no kidding. This shea butter is what it says it is—and does what it says it will—it’s in raw form so just like with unrefined coconut oil, one has to heat it in order for it to spread nicely. I see a lot of confusion here in the comments with people complaining of grittiness. If you melt it you will not have this problem. I would say it takes a bit more time than coconut oil but that’s no issue considering its supreme moisturizing power. It is greasy but sinks into my skin fast. Its a good kind of greasy. The only part that isnt good is the smell. Its not that bad but i dont exactly love it. Not a dealbreaker though when you’re as dry as me in the winter.

A friend of mine told me that she was using pure shea butter and so I thought I would try it. Be sure to warm it up in your hands before spreading it on. It is wonderful for my dry and extremely sensitive skin. I also have noticed that my pores on my nose are less clogged as well which you normally wouldn't expect with something so rich. When I WFH I will use it in the morning on my face, otherwise I just put it on at night since your face will be pretty shiny to start the day. I recommend using it all over - cuticles have gotten better looking and dry crepey skin on legs has dramatically improved too. I ordered this particular product since it is organic. I like the smell but maybe not everyone does. My friend puts her shea butter in the mixer with some essential oil drops and whips it up into a creamier texture

After some thorough research and reading several reviews, I decided to purchase this shea butter. I use shea butter on my skin and hair. I especially use it on my children because they have mild eczema so finding quality shea butter was very important to me. After perusing through both negative and positive reviews, I got my handy dandy chain saw ready. Many reviews indicated that this shea butter was very difficult to take out from the container which had me a little nervous about my purchase. However, once I opened the lid I could immediately see (without even touching it yet), that this was as smooth as butter. I set my chain saw aside (totally being funny here) and scraped some onto my eager fingers. It was extremely easy to get this out. I then rubbed it together, applied it to my dry skin, and life felt wonderful again. This is excellent, quality shea butter. The next morning my skin still felt so smooth and very moisturized. I will never purchase another brand. This is the winner!!

Too whipped for me personally, but the smell is nice.

This is a wonderful product! I used it anywhere I’m having dry skin and I have very sensitive skin. I’m allergic to most products they cause me to get awful rashes. But not this one! It’s so gentle I even use it on my 2month old son for his dry forehead and nose. (He is getting his new baby skin) his baby acne has even cleared up quite a lot. It’s soft and has a very light oil that soothes the skin. I’m exstteamly Happy with this product. ✌️

Organic Shea Butter is a must have for all women regardless of their complexion type! It tones, nourishes, smooths appearance of fine lines, reduces intensity/darkness of age spots (with daily use), provides a protective barrier/moisturizes without clogging pores as well as retards the growth of acne - causing bacteria. It doesn't leave an oily residue on my clothes/sheets (allow 5-ish minutes for skin absorption before dressing) yet protection from the elements/prevention of moisture loss lasts for hours. Shea Butter is especially good for those who reside in an area that experiences weather extremes during any/all seasons (like Southwest Colorado). Warming a dollup of this butter by rubbing w/fingers in palm of hand before pat-applying to face is recommended (increases ease of spreadability/reduces unnecessary tug on skin). It quickly healed my split/chapped lips & cold sore dissapeared with 2 applications!!! I smooth this stuff over entire body (including feet...great for flaky patches, softens calluses, prevents heel & toenail cracks). Slight, nutty aroma dissapates shortly after application. The reason I chose Sky Organics brand over other, organic shea butters is because of the BPA - free container.

There’s a high chance you’ll see results next day. Apparently she’s butter and me one amazing match cause my hair and my skin appreciate it heavy. Had an allergic reaction to castor oil and my face got burnt/started peaking but it left a nasty scar. Used the Shea butter and my skin is already blending back to normal.

Oily skin, do not be afraid!!! I have that nagging t-zone issue and I was scareddddd of oils on my face! But low and behold, organic Shea Butter is fantastic on my skin. I have replaced my nighttime Cetaphil moisturizer with this stuff.

I absolutely love this shea butter. This is my first experience with shea butter. The product at first resembled whipped butter. Now that I have been digging into it its not as "fluffy" looking and is more of a waxy butter feel, if that makes sense. The smell at first reminded me of dry hay or grass which I attribute to it being natural and organic. Not off putting at all. As the day goes by it begins to take on a sweet nutty scent. My daughter and I use it everyday. I even put a little on my damp hair for added moisture. My daughter had very dry cracked hands from an allergic reaction she had when making slime. This shea butter is the only thing that has helped. We noticed a huge difference in just 2 days of her using this shea butter. I will be purchasing it

I am neutral on the scent as it just has a very light raw smell. Not unpleasant however. This has changed the texture of my skin and has increased the moisture tenfold! It's the best moisturizer I have ever used since my skin has matured. My forehead and area around the mouth used to be so dry. Not anymore. I use it before bed and in the morning. It feels very thick but after about 15 minutes it is wonderfully absorbed. It leaves a shininess at first but once again the absorbstion takes care of that...AND it lasts forever. I also mix it into my homemade body lotion. Will use it as long as it works. I've since had compliments as to how my face looks. Also it doesn't seem to promote pimples or breakouts and is very helpful for patches of eczema which I've had my entire life. Less now. Much less.

This butter is everything I hoped for - good smelling, and great consistency. I spent hours searching for what I hoped would be a good choice of Shea Butter for whipped body creams that I make. The product (a different brand)I last ordered while great before but had come with a terrible rancid odor in my last order. In some reviews for this product it was mentioned it was hard to get out it of the container. While that may be frustrating,, that is what should be expected with a pure unrefined product. Once warmed in your hand it quickly softens and absorbs just as expected. It is pricier than other products, but will for sure order again. Very pleased.

for the first time a couple of months ago to make myself a few items mixed with essential oils; hair wax to define my curls, skin care for my face & wrinkles (sad but true), a relaxing bath mix and topical pain reducer, both for my Fibromyalgia. Evidently I'm pleased with the product since I ordered it again! This shea butter mixed well and gave me the most silky, airy topical pain reducer! I thank the previous reviewers for taking the time and posting their reviews! It really helps to decide!

It smells great, moisturizes and nice packaging. Also a great product ethically, as well as safe for the enviorment Wish the bottle was bigger! I love this product.

I use shea butter on my face and neck. My skin type is VERY, VERY dry and VERY sensitive. I'm allergic to a lot of things, aloe vera included. I breakout in rashes and eczema around my eyes very very often as well. Shea butter is the one and only thing that helps all my skin problems. It very quickly gets rid of my eczema and it heals any rashes I get quickly as well. While my skin is still very dry, this is one of the few moisturizers that even remotely help. I use it plain from the jar. The only dislike I have is it does not melt as quickly as coconut oil does, so it takes a bit more rubbing to get it melted completely, but that's not a big deal at all.

It IS organic. In the US, any product can be labeled organic if at least 95% of its ingredients are organic. This product uses fertilizer for the shea trees which is why that ingredient isn’t considered “organic.” but as long as 95% of the product is organic, it can be labeled as such. so maybe learn more about what things actually mean before giving bad reviews to products just bc you don’t know about regulations.

This is great quality shea butter. I like the thickness of it. You have to heat it up in your hands to get it to spread easier but it lasts on my skin all day. My skin and nails are so soft. I'll try it on my hair next!

This lotion has a great scent I wouldnt usually try a moisturizer but, the scent was pleasant. I think if you like all of the features this is worth trying, but it was a little stickier/tackier to touch that I was hoping.

It's done wonders for my skin, reversing premature aging and reducing scarring from burns to my legs. I can use it in my hair, too, which makes it softer and more defines my curls! I don't need to use nearly as much as I do regular body lotion (which I can't use on my hair!) and, because it's organic, there aren't chemicals and pesticides I'm slathering on my skin--the human body's biggest organ--to get absorbed into my body as toxins. Because my body is so sensitive to these toxins, I FEEL the difference!

This product was recommended to me by my stylist. My hair is moisturized like never before..even after I wash it. Love it

Some reviews have bemoaned the quality or tampered packaging. This is the 2nd time I have ordered this particular brand and it's exactly what I should be. It's funny to me that one of the Amazon prompts asks for a star rating on the scent. I gave it a one at first because shea butter does not have an attractive scent PERIODT. But moved it up to 5 stars because it snells like what shea butter should smell like. When it's used straightforward after melting it, it doesn't have a much of smell other people notice but sometimes I'll add a few drops of lavender, lemongrass, or tea tree oil for the enriching properties but also for a pleasant scent. Although I don't think adding those is a necessity. I am averse to certain scents as they can give me a migraine and some things trigger it after smelling for 10 minutes or more. I am happy to say that this brand does not cause that issue. It cam quickly is decently priced and it's organic! Just what I want as part of my African=American 4c hair needs!

I am recovering from surgery, and my skin has been very irritated and dry. I wanted something very pure and gentle with no added fragrances or preservatives while my skin is healing. This has been wonderful so far! It melts and becomes very smooth and easy to massage in with the heat from my hands. I was planning on mixing this with some coconut oil (that’s what I did with pure cocoa butter) to make it easier to spread, but this doesn’t need it. After a few minutes, my skin is baby soft with no greasy residue. I have used Palmers and more expensive shea butter from Bath and Body Works and the Body Shop in the past, but this one is my favorite by far.

Smells so so good! Warm and cozy! I used it on my hands today to test it out and my skin is hydrated and so very smooth and so very soft!

This is a great product. I've used shea butter before, and this is far superior to any I have used. A trick I learned from an aesthetician is to put a tablespoon of shea butter in a microwavable small cup into the microwave for about 20 seconds. It melts to a liquid and makes it easier to apply. Afterwards when it hardens, all the grit is gone and it becomes creamier. Microwave it if you want to turn it into a liquid again. I will buy this again and recommend it to everybody.

Best Shea butter

I'd never used Shea Butter and guess I was expecting it to smell similar to Cocoa Butter. At first I thought it was bad, possibly rancid, but after being open the smell diminished. I checked with an Esthetician who assured me that it was good. If you're new to it, like I was, be prepared for a bit more earthy smell than you might expect. Many people mix with an essential oil.

I’ve never used any body butters before in my life. But I became miserable this past winter (I moved to the north east and wasn’t prepared for the extreme winters here!) when my skin became extremely dry and scaly with a rash on the back of my hands and sides of my shins. I’ve tried mixing Johnson’s baby oil gel with my moisturizer for a few months and exfoliated regularly to remove the dead skin, but it didn’t yield any results. My skin itched like crazy!

About 11-12 weeks into my pregnancy, my husband bought this for me, after a b-ch session I had with myself and the wall about my fear of stretch marks. (I already have them from my Division I sports playing, Hulk days). When it came, I was nervous because I was at the tail end of my morning sickness, EVERY new and strange smell made me sick as heck, and I read about some people not liking the smell. I was so scared of the smell ruining this for me. BUT when I opened it, the smell was a mild nutty earthy smell. I'd never smelled anything like it, and my finicky bubble guts was ok, so I slathered it on my belly and cans, and then put a cocoa butter and other smelly friends lotion over it. After the 3rd day of putting this on morning and before bed, the smell just went away to me, and I actually started really liking it by the end of the week!

I smell so good all day when I put this on right when I get out of the shower and I hope they will keep this scent and not make it a limited edition!!

from Ghana is pretty fresh. Off the bat, I don't like it as much as Mary Tyler Naturals' organic shea butter, but I do like that it comes in a jar rather than a plastic bag. It's very easy to use, and its moisturizing and healing properties are excellent. You can use this directly on your skin and hair, or use it in a multitude of DIY skincare and bodycare products. The natural smell is pretty strong, but that's normal since it's unrefined. Overall, this is a good product that I'd consider purchasing again

I love Shea Butter but was tired of struggling with the hardness of typical Shea Butter. I would watch YouTube videos of how people would their own Shea Butter and have friends who would whip their own. Me personally, I am too lazy for that so I researched "Whipped Shea Butter" and came across this gem. I love how soft it was to the tough and the fact that it is ivory/white shea butter and not the yellow kind. I was informed that the yellow kind is not truly Shea Butter. I plan on finding cute little jars so I can mix this with scented oils. A lot of people complain about the scent of natural shea products but this didn't bother me and it quickly diminishes after being rubbed in. And it is amazing on hair!!! I never would use Shea Butter in the past for my hair because it was hard to blend in when using the harder types. It is a great size for the price as well. I will definitely be purchasing more and getting some for my sister. (She would complain about the hardness of usual brands as well, even though she liked the product itself). I'm even considering trying your Mango Butter soon

I have been using shea butter for 10 yrs. I will never be without it. This product is fantastic. I use it for everything and the results are impressive. Its heals as well as moisturizes. Dont be put off by the gritty feeling at 1st. It softens up immediately and a little goes a long way.

Ok y'all you HAVE to try this! Just starting out and don't know what to get for your first DIY project that calls for shea butter (get this!) seasoned pros bored with your old product (get this!) It is so thick when you first touch it but once it starts to feel your body heat it melts like...well...butta!! The texture and smell are outstanding. I can't believe I went 29 years of life having never tried the real, pure stuff. After only a day or so of having it the seller emailed me making sure I loved it & sent me a booklet of recipes to try!!! I am totally blown away by her customer service. She didn't have to do this, the product alone would keep me coming back but this one extra step is what will make me tell all my friends (and you all) and keep me as a customer for life. Thank you so much!!! I will take pictures of the presents I am making & post them. :)

Been using it for about a month now and I have to say it works! Compared to other products, sometimes I feel the "cool" or itchy feeling while the lotion dries out; however, I do not experience any with this product.

I apply this after a warm shower when my skin is dry but still warm. The butter easily melts into my skin. I rub it in my palms first as the instructions say to do until it melts completely and feels like an oil. Then I apply it onto my face. It works best when you do it in this order. If you rub it directly onto your face or body, the butter doesn't melt as well and leaves lumps. I've never noticed any smell when putting it on. If you make an effort to smell the butter in the jar, it smells as you would expect shea butter to smell. It's a natural product and has a pretty neutral smell in my opinion. I'm amazed at how long this jar is lasting. I bought it 6 months ago and was concerned it would be expensive to keep buying more since the jar looked so small. However, after 6 months, I have not even finished a quarter of the jar. I use it on my face daily and arms/legs once a week. I'm also very happy that it's a pure, organic product.

This butter has a very nice consistency, it smooth and of a creamier texture than other shea butter brands. I also love that this butter actually comes in a beautiful jar with quality packaging. The visual enhances the experience for me. This butter is a very nice quality and I am noticing that my legs, hands, and skin overall is looking smooth and moisturized

Love! I was looking for pure Shea Butter and found this one. Yes, it’s very solid. But when you warm it with your fingers, it starts to melt into your skin like butter! But, with no greasy feel at all. If you’ve ever used a good grade coconut oil like Kopari, you know you it’s more of a solid than a runny oil with lumps. use it on rough patches. It healed my rough, scaly elbow. And at its best... it’s organic, cruelty free and made in USA. No dyes, parabens, mineral oil, etc...Give it a try. If you’re prone to breakouts then, refrain from using it on your face. It does say “face and body” on the label.

I have had issues with dry dry dry cracked feet for 10+ years. I used this for two days and it already started to heal my feet. Now its been 7 days and my feet are almost normal! I am sooo impressed. I have tried heal scrubs (at home and at salons), vaseline, lotions, baby lotions, heal repair.....everything and nothing has worked but this. I did find out I am allergic to acrylates/acrylics (which FYI every product has it in it - lotions, moisturizers, makeup, hair products, face soap, body soap, dish soap, detergent....and MORE!) So it was tough finding a "lotion" I could use. Not only is this natural (no acrylates/acrylics) but it fixed my feet. I am going to try to make it into more of moisturizer/lotion so I can put in a pump. I have been putting it around my eyes and noticed its helping with wrinkles. Love this.

I applied this on my entire belly twice a day (morning and night) when I was pregnant and I didn't get stretch marks on my belly, I'm saying this as someone who is prone to them. It remains sticky, so I'd always wear a tight undershirt on top after applying. Very moisturizing, preventing itching from a growing belly. I did notice inconsistency in texture with different orders, not the easiest to spread. I will definitely use this with my next pregnancy!!!

Came just in time for the cold Midwest winter. Shea butter has worked wonders for my hair. Its so soft and moisturized! And my skin????? Is finally holding some moisture! Perfect for the cold winter months. Will definitely buy more and experiment with the different suggestions in the pamphlet.

I ALWAYS purchase them. I buy several at a time, when the price is right , because their products are seriously second to none and to say they are versatile would be an understatement. ANOTHER EXCEPTIONAL SO experience!!

This product is great. I gave my daughter the bottle because she uses it for her psoriasis. I didn't realize how much my skin would miss it. I'm turning forty eight and I really think this is working great for my wrinkles. I also think it is helping to grow my eyelashes too....they seems to be getting longer? It is thicker, so I put it on mainly at night, although lately I have been using in the morning too.

My favorite use of this lovely Shea Butter is as a nighttime moisturizer for my feet. If my feet get too dry, they will actually keep me awake or even wake me up. Nothing works better than plain, pure Shea Butter to keep my feet moisturized ALL night. Absolutely love it. I actually also love to use this as an ingredient for making lotion bars as well. I like very much that this Shea Butter has safety seals in place. The consistency is lovely and creamy and the aroma is pure, true, unfiltered, slightly nutty Shea Butter. I usually purchase the 16-ounce size, but I'm happy to have a choice. Lovely product!

I use this product because it only has one ingredient: organic shea butter. I have sensitive skin and must avoid overexposure to UV rays so I use under my makeup. At first you might think it would be too heavy but actually I allow it to adsorb on my face a few minutes before applying. I cannot attest to those who have oily skin. I tested mine first and found it did just fine under my makeup without appearing oily or greasy. I gave to my son to apply to his face in the mornings and after he returns home from work to help his skin since he must wear the N95 mask all day at work to help protect his skin. I have also used on scalp due to side effects of medication.

People who purchase this thinking it will be as soft as petroleum jelly are not understanding the product. This stuff is a good emollient, but it is so thick you can turn it upside down and it will stay in the jar. My purpose in using it is to mix it with baby oil and put it on my face at night. I wanted something that would have good soothing properties. I live in Indiana and our winters are brutal. Without it, my face would become cracked and chapped from the cold. In Africa, the shea butter is sometimes called Women's Gold. It is thick to the point of being hard -- which is what it is supposed to be.

This stuff has saved my dry winter skin in a matter of one day.. I am so amazed. The scent is almost not even noticeable- just very earthy and natural which is great for my super sensitive skin. It doesnt clog my pores or cause pimples like coconut oil did on my face. The container is huge too! This will last me all year at least!!!!! I am so so SO happy with this and recommend it 100%. Definitly spend the little extra money to get this kind, trust me :)
